This full day kayaking exploration will take us to the waters where Tomales Bay opens up to the Pacific Ocean, an area with an abundance of wildlife, and an extremely low level of human impact. Marine mammals such as seals and sea lions are commonly seen in the waters and on the beaches. Though such encounters are rare, whales and recently a sea otters have been spotted in this area of the bay. We will stop on a remote beach to enjoy lunch, which may include tide pooling, photography, hiking to look for Tule Elk, and much more. Weather permitting we will kayak out to the steep bluffs of the point that drop like a mouth agape, straight to the sea. With the aid of Michael’s wit and wide knowledge as our guide the natural world around us will come alive. Also open to youth (age 15-17) with parent attendance. Kayak rental included.
