In 2003, Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) and the National Park Service partnered to bring Art into the Park. Art in the Parks brings special rotating art and educational exhibits to the Red Barn Classroom and Art Gallery several times a year that provide opportunities for reflection about nature and the unique culture of Point Reyes National Seashore and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The program hopes to make the appreciation of art an essential component of the visitor experience in our national park. Proceeds support artists and the park’s Museum and Archives division.

Join us throughout the year for special receptions or by appointment. For a full list of upcoming or past shows click here.  If you are interested in exhibiting your art work in the Red Barn art Gallery, download and submit the Red Barn Art Gallery Guidelines for Artists and Application for Exhibit.

Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary is an underwater rocky substrate off shore of Point Reyes National Seashore. It was established in 1989 to protect and preserve the extraordinary marine ecosystem surrounding the bank. Cordell Bank provides habitat to numerous colorful and abundant invertebrates, algae, and fishes. The productive waters attract migratory seabirds and marine mammals from all around the Pacific Ocean to feed in this dynamic food web.

To get to the Red Barn Classroom and Art Gallery, follow the directions to Point Reyes National Seashore. As you proceed up the driveway toward the Bear Valley Visitor Center, turn left at the sign for the Red Barn Classroom.
