Launched in early 2021, YIP reshapes access at Point Reyes through outdoor education and recreation experiences for youth from communities historically excluded from public lands. Most participants have never been to our park and, in many cases, have never seen the ocean. Through repeat full-day and overnight programs, and in partnership with 20+ community-based organizations, we’ve welcomed 3,000+ youth to Point Reyes. Together, we are transforming public lands into accessible, welcoming spaces for all.
