Maureen is a retired real estate broker, formerly with Compass in the East Bay. Prior to her work as a broker, Kennedy worked in the public and non-profit sector for 28 years--as a community organizer, head of AlaskaPIRG, lobbyist/policy analyst for non-profit housing and economic development organizations, grantmaker for the Ford Foundation, deputy assistant secretary at HUD and head of the Farmers Home Administration.
In the last decade she has served as president of the Berkeley City Club, and on the Scholarship Committee of the Inverness Garden Club, in addition to a variety of fundraising roles for the Piedmont schools. She studied housing finance and environmental policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and graduated from Mt. Holyoke. She has a home in Inverness.
