PRNSA Field Institute Instructor

Paul Miller is a volunteer at the PRNS’s Morgan Horse Ranch, where he has helped care for and exercised horses for the past five years.  He was the Marin Independent-Journal's editorial cartoonist in the late 1960's, later was the editorial and sports cartoonist for the Novato Advance for most of the 1970's, has done cover cartoons for the Pacific Sun, and worked as a cartoonist illustrator for the Tiburon Ark.   He also has had cartoons published in the San Francisco Chronicle as an “Image to the Editor” contributor. His paintings have also been sold at Marin benefits for the Brain Injury Network of the Bay Area (BINBA), The San Francisco Chapter of Surfriders Foundation has published several of his surfing paintings on its website. Miller was also a regular contributor to, an affiliate of

Miller, a former Marine and a UCLA graduate, taught a cartooning course in the art department at the College of Marin, where he was a full time faculty member in the English and communications departments for four decades. Miller has paintings and drawings in private collections in California, Arizona, Washington, Hawaii, Texas, Florida and Province, France, London and India.  Last year at the Bear Valley Visitor Center he had a benefit art exhibit of the horses of the park’s Morgan Horse Ranch.
