Landbird Response to the Woodward Fire – Members Hike
Sat, May 25Join Point Reyes National Seashore Association and Point Blue Conservation Science for a beautiful members hike to learn about the response of breeding birds to the Woodward Fire. In the heart of Point Reyes, hikers will learn about Point Blue’s work to monitor birds in the areas that burned in 2020 and the adjacent areas that did not. This work was made possible thanks to you!
This moderate 4- to 5-mile hike, entirely along the Sky Trail ridgeline, will take you into the burn zone and some of Point Blue’s study sites during peak breeding season. Expect to encounter a lot of bird activity and song, as both the burned and unburned areas host a wealth of birds!
