Brandon Barragan has spent most of his life in the Bay Area, with the exception of a few years spent living with family members in Colombia and El Salvador. Brandon truly enjoys the outdoors and is committed to environmental stewardship. He recently graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with a degree in Environmental Studies. Studying geology, ecology, and biology at St. Mary’s led Brandon to pursue a career in environmental education, and he is committed to making the outdoors accessible and enjoyable to everyone, no matter their background. Brandon believes that teaching and celebrating diversity can create cultural equity, and enrich the experience of nature for all. As PRNSA’s Education and Diversity Outreach Coordinator, Brandon aims to do just that. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys family, cooking fresh new foods, and cycling around the Bay Area.
