Giacomini Wetlands Restoration Workday – June 21st, 2025
Sat, June 21Join PRNSA staff for a day of habitat restoration at the Giacomini Wetlands by helping to remove poison hemlock and fennel!
Join Point Reyes National Seashore Association, in partnership with the National Park Service, for a stewardship service day at Giacomini Wetlands! Come learn about this former dairy ranch that was restored back into marsh wetlands in 2008, and has now becomed a hotspot for rich wildlife biodiversity which includes birds, mammals, and endangered animals like the California Red-legged frog. Our goal will be to begin removing invasive poison hemlock and fennel plants, particularly by hauling away any plants that have gone to seed.
No prior experience is needed and all tools and safety equipment will be provided. We will also have snacks available for all volunteers!
