Kathy Goss is a Watercolorist and Natural Dye artist living and working in Oakland, CA. When working with watercolors, she tends towards a realistic style. Working with natural dyes allows her to explore a more abstract, improvisational approach. Kathy spends as much time as possible in nature, as it is her primary source of inspiration. When outdoors, she finds herself thinking “How would I create that color in watercolors?,” and also “What color would that plant create as a natural dye?” She shares her enthusiasm for discovery by leading workshops on Natural Dyes and Ecoprinting.
