Growing up in Marin, Matt developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors through exploring the trails of Mount Tamalpais, the creeks of the watershed, and the surf of West Marin. He holds a B.S. in Economics and English from Pepperdine University and has experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, including developing agricultural learning programs with Granular and supporting community resource access with 211. He also has hands-on experience in land stewardship with Marin Water, including trail building, habitat restoration, and prescribed burns. In addition, he has taught underserved youth to surf, combining his love of the ocean with a commitment to expanding access to outdoor experiences. Matt is excited to bring this mix of community engagement, environmental stewardship, and education to PRNSA and to help people connect with the landscapes of Point Reyes and West Marin.
