Roberto, an avid hiker, kayaker and outrigger canoe paddler, has been a frequent visitor to the Seashore for more than three decades. He is passionate about providing youth the opportunity to experience the wonders of Point Reyes and of outdoor pursuits in general, to help foster a lasting appreciation for nature-based experiences. Roberto has 30 years of professional experience in the engineering, construction and energy fields, and has been privileged to be entrusted by stakeholders to develop and lead some of the most complex, innovative, and ambitious mega projects in the energy sector. Deeply respectful of the land and its traditional stewards, Roberto has led extensive consultations with Indigenous communities and leaders, including in Alaska and southeast Asia to gain local consent and support for energy and infrastructure developments. A citizen of the world, Roberto especially enjoys white sands, blue oceans, green mountains, fast rivers and tropical breezes.
