Aiko Goldston

Aiko’s (she/her) interest in conservation biology began when she volunteered as a Western Snowy Plover docent at Coal Oil Point Reserve while studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating with a degree in Physiology, Aiko interned for three seasons with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service, where she conducted endangered and sensitive species surveys and monitoring. In her current role, she monitors northern elephant seals, northern spotted owls, and western snowy plovers in the Seashore. You will most often find her walking the beach or hiking through the forest, always with a pair of binoculars!
