Brentley McNeill

Brentley’s first trip to California was in 2013 for an Americorps internship with the Watershed Stewards Program at Point Reyes National Seashore. After moving into one of the Lighthouse apartments and witnessing sunset from the observation deck, he was hooked. He is now the field crew lead for the NPS Coho and Steelhead Monitoring Program, which involves the collection and analysis of long-term data from local streams. His passion for conservation and learning about the natural world began at an early age in his home state of North Carolina while camping and fly fishing on the doorstep of the Appalachian Mountains. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and worked briefly in the consulting field before moving to Point Reyes to focus on fisheries and watershed sciences.
