Intro 2 Backpacking 4 BIPOC

Intro 2 Backpacking 4 BIPOC

Wed, July 23
Join us for a low-stress intro to backpacking in beautiful Point Reyes!

This program will focus on BIPOC adults who have an interest in going on a backpacking trip but might not feel comfortable yet to set out on their own. This will be a 2 night introduction to backpacking which will consist of a mostly level 2.7mi hike in on Wednesday, and a 2.7mi return hike on Friday (5.4 miles trip total). This will be a community-held and led space for people with a variety of experience levels so that we can all learn from each other in an experiential, low stress environment. Our hope is for this to be a nourishing experience which makes backpacking feel more accessible! All are welcome.

What to expect

  • During our trip we may also be spending some time on the beach and exploring tidepools.
  • There will be a waiver/brief medical form to fill out in person when you arrive.

  • Meals will be planned in advance and prepared as a group.
