Join professional photographers and instructors Susan and Neil for this fun and inspiring workshop designed to help you unlock the creative potential of the camera already in your pocket. Whether you enjoy photographing family, travel, wildlife, landscapes, or everyday moments, you’ll discover techniques that will immediately improve your images.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn how to confidently use your iPhone’s built-in camera features while developing the artistic skills that separate snapshots from compelling photographs.

We’ll explore:

• Camera settings and shooting modes

• How and when to use each lens

• Exposure, focus, and creative controls

• Composition and visual design

• Light, perspective, and storytelling

• Techniques for landscapes, people, close-ups, and travel photography

• Simple tips that produce dramatic improvements in your images

Our goal is not simply to teach buttons and menus, but to help you develop a photographer’s eye. You’ll learn to recognize beautiful light, create stronger compositions, anticipate meaningful moments, and make photographs that express your own unique vision.

Following the classroom session, we’ll head outdoors to photograph together, giving you the opportunity to immediately practice what you’ve learned in the beautiful surroundings of Point Reyes’ Bear Valley area. Along the way, Susan and Neil will provide personalized guidance, answer questions, and demonstrate creative ways to approach a variety of photographic subjects.

Whether you’re a beginner or have been using your iPhone for years, you’ll leave with greater confidence, practical skills, and fresh inspiration—ready to create photographs that are more expressive, memorable, and uniquely your own.

We will Brown Bag Lunch together onsite.

Susan and Neil are a husband-and-wife photography team with 25 years of teaching and workshop experience. Their nationally and internationally recognized work reflects a passion for helping others discover the creativity, joy, and storytelling power of the iPhone camera.

-We will be meeting at the Red Barn Classroom in Bear Valley, Point Reyes

– Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in

– Refunds available for all classes 7 days in advance of the start date, after 7 days and before 2 days, participants can credit their class for a future date. All requests less than 48 hours in advance will be declined.

– Please follow the parking instructions for the facility used that day

– Please provide an email you check regularly for updates and reminders about your class

– Registration is required online prior to the event in order to maintain class sizes

– Sales end 48 hours before the start date.

– Waitlists are available when the class sells out
