Volunteers and Rangers Learning Together
Point Reyes National Seashore rangers are on a never-ending quest for more knowledge, and occasionally, a spectacular learning opportunity presents itself. In February, two Seashore rangers and two winter wildlife docents ventured down to Baja California on a six-day exploration to learn more about and observe gray whales and their calves. The group brought their experiences back to share widely with visitors as well as fellow volunteers and rangers, underscoring the dedication rangers have to make visitor’s experiences as rich as possible.
