Aiko’s (she/her) interest in conservation biology began when she volunteered as a Western Snowy Plover docent at Coal Oil Point Reserve while studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating with a degree in Physiology, Aiko interned for two seasons with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and, most recently, with the National Park Service, where she conducted endangered and sensitive species surveys and monitoring. Aiko is excited to continue building on her skills as a biologist and deepening her knowledge of the ecology and natural history of Point Reyes National Seashore.
