Catherine is a consultant who works primarily with philanthropic foundations, tapping over 25 years of experience in funder and nonprofit collaboration. She was the founding Executive Director of the West Marin Fund, a new community foundation in PRNSA’s back yard. She’s worked with Commonweal in Bolinas, the California Academy of Sciences, Carpe Diem West’s western water collaborations, and global development work with the Global Greengrants Fund. She cut her environmental teeth as Northern California Director of Earth Day 1990. A graduate in Cross-Cultural Relations from Michigan State University, Catherine has traveled widely and worked frequently in the international arena. Every year, she travels to India, where for the past 30 years, she’s supported efforts to clean the Ganges River in Varanasi, the holy city for Hindus. She is a hospice volunteer and currently engaged in philanthropic efforts around end-of-life design. She loves hiking West Marin trails and met her partner Elliot at Abbott’s Lagoon.
