Dorothy has a deep love for Point Reyes – so much so that her son is named after the starting point of her family’s favorite hike, Pierce Point Ranch. She grew up going for weekend hikes on the Great Wall in Beijing, China. As a result, she particularly treasures access to the outdoors for urban youth as a way to breathe deep (clean air) and ground in what matters most. The Youth in Parks programs and educational initiatives are what drew her initially to learn more about PRNSA’s work and impact.
When she is not enjoying a picnic on Limantour Beach, Dorothy is the Global CFO at Accel, a venture capital firm. Dorothy has also held positions in finance and investing at Alpine Investors, Apple, Inc. and a fund-of-funds investment firm (now BGO). She has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Vassar College.
