Joan Hoffmann

Joan paints landscapes and birds of the American west. She has taught through PRNSA for twenty years including painting, journaling, drawing and woodblock classes. She celebrates forty years as a professional painter and enjoys mentoring painters: directing them how to follow their goals. She teaches techniques, the basics of painting, composition and warm and cool colors. She lectures on the history of American landscape painting, and National Parks. She exhibits Cow Canyon Trading Post, Bluff, UT and Studio Barn, South Royalton, VT. She hosts painting retreats in the High Sierras and southern Utah. She recently moved to Vermont, expanding her painting locations and teaching venues! See her paintings: www.joanhoffmann.com and birdingwithwatercolors.blogspot.com
