Lena Zentall

Lena has to force herself to hike anywhere but Point Reyes! Her deep curiosity and love of this place has inspired her to hike every trail, take the California Naturalist Program here, create the Point Reyes Nature website, and produce an annual hiking calendar dedicated to Point Reyes. She is an avid supporter of the Seashore and volunteers year round as a Snowy Plover docent in summer and a Winter Wildlife docent in winter and spring. She retired from the University of California’s California Digital Library where her duties involved program and project management, strategic planning, advising, and communications. Lena has served on committees dedicated to women’s advocacy, Indigenous knowledge, DEI values in the workplace, and climate justice. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and teenage son, and is honored for the opportunity to support PRNSA as a board member.
