Lisa Hug

Lisa is a freelance naturalist and contract biologist. She is an experienced birder in the North Bay area whose frequent haunts include Bolinas Lagoon, Point Reyes National Seashore and Bodega Bay. She teaches bird identification classes for the community education program at the College of Marin. She is also an energetic co-leader for Shearwater Journeys Pelagic Tours. She served as President of the Redwood Region Ornithological Society for two years. Lisa also received the Madrone Audubon Society Martha Bentley & Ernestine Smith Award for Dedication to Wildlife Conservation. She is the author of the self-running educational CD Feather-Watching: An Interactive CD Guide for Studying Birds in the Field and loves to share her knowledge of and enthusiasm for the natural world with others.
