Sharon is passionate about sharing her knowledge and sense of wonder with people of all ages. Well known to children as “Sharon Heron”, Sharon has taught environmental education for over 15 years in Marin and internationally. She has volunteered with many organizations including The Marine Mammal Center and SPAWN. She also served as Director for Marin Audubon Society and was a founding board member of The River Otter Ecology Project. Currently she volunteers with Point Reyes National Seashore and Richardson Bay Audubon. Sharon teaches science at Marin Country Day School and is the Hiking Marin Trails instructor for College of Marin. She is the co-founder of Marin Nature Adventures and the 2011 Terwilliger Environmental Award winner.
